Miss Zimbabwe 2015 is Emily Kachote

Emily Kachote is Pretty !! Miss Zim 2015 - This Picture Was Taken in 2012

So Miss Zimbabwe 2015 was chosen on 26 April at Mermaids Pool in Shamva. The winning beauty was none other than Miss Emily Kachote, a 25-year old woman who works at Old Mutual as a Financial Advisor, who also happens to have a lot of modeling experience.

Unlike beauty contests in other countries like South Africa where there are hundreds of high quality photos taken by experienced cameramen, there was only one picture of the Miss Zimbabwe Event circulating around the internet, and it was poorly shot and edited. There is no doubt that Emily is a pretty lady but the picture that was taken at the event did not do justice. This was a current event but the picture looked a bit grainy, fuzzy and obviously taken by an outdated camera or unskilled cameramen. Without a doubt, this incident exposed the Event Organizers as people who lack the skills in arranging prestigious events like Miss Zimbabwe. The stage arrangement and lighting was ordinary, miles away from the state-of-the-art techniques and equipment that you would find at MTV shows or Miss SA.

The organizers of the Miss Zimbabwe pageant must pull up their socks and hire professionals who know how to get things done, even if it means outsourcing expertise from overseas. Such an event should be accompanied by glitz, glamour, and most important of all - awesome stage design and stagecraft.

Bob Marley Zimbabwe Lyrics

NOSTALGIC – Who Still Remembers the Old Days!!!

This is the song that Bob Marley dedicated to the Zimbabwean people to celebrate the independence of Zimbabwe, on 18 April 1980. A recently published Forbes article claims that a team of Zimbabwean officials flew to Jamaica at the last minute to invite Bob Marley to perform at Rufaro Stadium in Harare, at a free concert that was to be attended by thousands of jubilant citizens who came to witness the raising of the new flag. The hosts had been looking for a reputable singer who was revered among the Black Africans fighting the colonial regime, and it was found out that most of them were already familiar and motivated by Bob Marley’s songs for emancipation. It was also the first time for Zimbabweans to see the dreadlocked Rastafarians from Jamaica.

It is reported that Bob Marley’s Manager initially refused to have his artist attend the last minute concert, but Bob Marley insisted on performing at the celebratory event because he had been following the events in Rhodesia.

They finally flew to Harare and quickly made preparations to have the live concert systems set up before the night of the celebrations. The Reggae Legend sampled some locally grown marijuana while vacationing at a farm in Mutoko, and it is rumored that the late Edgar Tekere hosted him at his residence. EISH THOSE WERE THE OLD DAYS
